Sanierung und Neubau des Verwaltungsgebäudes der THM Gießen

Das in den 50er Jahren errichtete ehemalige Landratsamt bestand aus zwei Hauptgebäuden, die über einen Zwischenbau miteinander verbunden waren. Die Hauptgebäude stehen unter Denkmalschutz.

Der Zwischenbau wurde abgerissen und durch einen neuen Zwischenbau ersetzt, der über Bohrpfähle setzungsfrei von beiden Bestandsgebäuden getrennt errichtet wurde. Er dient als zentraler Eingangsbereich mit Aufzug und Differenztreppen, die die auf unterschiedlichen Geschoßhöhen liegenden Gebäudeteile miteinander verbindet.
